greg asked:

Would a dog have the cognitive ability to learn a game such as blackjack or even be able to memorize patterns in such a way that it could play. I understand that the dog probably could not learn how to count or reason with strategy I am just wondering if you could teach him to hit or stay.

You might be able to teach one a VERY rudimentary form of playing blackjack, whereby he/she (the dog, that is) could learn to bark or not, signifying hit or stay, when you tell it certain numbers. I can’t imagine it going much beyond that though.

Piece of cake. My grandfather did it: he NAMED the dog Blackjack! The dog learned to stay, and it you said HIT he would take your leg off!
